Smile Card Bulk Program FAQ

Smile cards can be purchased in bulk at a discount by following a few steps.

1. Download a copy of the Smile Card Bulk Order Form
2. Complete the form
3. Once complete, the form will allow you to "send" the form via email or "print".

At this time, we do not offer electronic Smile Cards or Smile e-Cards.

No, you do not have to create account to Order Smile Cards in bulk. Simply fill in the Smile Card Bulk Order Form and submit it.

These codes allow us to determine which type of groups are utilizing the Smile Card Bulk Order program. Please select the category that best describes your organization’s purpose on the form.

There is no limit to the number of orders you can place. However, Thrifty Foods reserves the right to limit or refuse orders. Discounts are applied based on the total amount of Smile Cards purchased in a single transaction.

Cards are available in denominations of your choosing. Suggested options include: $10, $25, $50, $100.

Please enter the value and quantity in the “Other Value” section of the form.

Yes, please select the discount % based on the total of your order. This will calculate the discount amount and provide you with the balance due for your order.

Please provide 48 hours notice for orders submitted by email to Customer Care and 24 hours notice if dropping off a printed form at the Customer Service Desk in store.

Yes. When you purchase Smile Cards exceeding specific dollar amounts you will be entitled to a discount. This discount is applied at the time of your order. Please note that discount rates are subject to change without notice.

Discounts are applied based on the total amount of Smile Cards purchased in a single transaction. The discount structure is as follows:

0% discount for orders less than $999
2% discount for orders between $1,000 and $1,499
4% discount for orders between $1,500 and $3,999
6% discount for orders over $4,000Discount rates are subject to change without notice.

Payment options are Cash, chip & PIN Credit or chip & PIN Debit Card. Gift cards cannot be used for Smile Card purchases.

Yes. Smile Card orders are available for pick up at the Customer Service Desk at the selected Thrifty Foods location on the Smile Card Bulk Order Form.

Smile Cards can only be picked at your selected Thrifty Foods location.

Smile Cards will be available for pick up at the Customer Service desk on the day requested on the Smile Card Bulk Order Form. Cards will be activated once payment is received.

Yes, Cards will be activated once payment has been received and can be used right away. We recommend treating them as cash and storing them in secure location until they are used.

Smile Cards can be redeemed in any of our Thrifty Foods locations.

Funds can be loaded onto a Smile Card at any Thrifty Foods location and can be used as payment for grocery orders.

Smile Cards have a declining balance that can be used over several shopping trips until there is no value left on the Card. A Smile Card can then be re-loaded with additional funds or discarded.

Smile Cards may be used to purchase merchandise from a Thrifty Foods location.

Exceptions:
Smile Cards are not valid towards the purchase of other Smile Cards or multi-format corporate gift cards
Smile Cards are not valid towards the purchase of third-party gift cards
Smile Cards indicating “no tobacco” cannot be used to purchase tobacco or vape products
Relief Vouchers, Vendor Coupons and Store Coupons cannot be used as tender to buy Smile Cards

You may ask to have funds reloaded onto your Smile Card at any till or at the Customer Service Desk. Note: Funds cannot be loaded and redeemed using one card in the same transaction. If you wish to load money onto your Smile Card and then use it to pay for your grocery order, please ask the cashier to process the reload first. The cashier can then process the grocery order and accept Smile Card payment in a secondary transaction.

Yes you can! You can deplete the value of your Smile Card and use another Smile Card or a different form of payment to pay for the remainder of your balance.

The cashier can apply all available funds on a Smile Card to your order. The outstanding balance can be paid in cash, or by debit or credit card.

Ask a cashier at any till or the Customer Service Desk to check the balance on your Smile Card.

AIR MILES® Reward Miles are not eligible on the purchase of Smile Cards. However, you can get AIR MILES® on purchases made using Smile Cards as payment.

Once activated, Smile Cards never expire. There is no fee for activation, redemption, reload or inactivity.

Smile Cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
